Meet Our British Labrador Sires
Every litter here starts with the sire. These are the British Labradors standing at Berry Creek Labs, each one health tested and chosen for what he passes on.
Glen
The Ultimate Teammate
FTAW Lynnjohnwil Glen
Glen’s sire and both grandfathers are accomplished FT CH and GB FT CH, and he has carried on the family tradition by qualifying for the Irish Championship. His drive, marking ability and willingness to please are unmatched. Off the field he is a happy go lucky dog who would rather be on your lap, the ultimate teammate.
Otto
Ultimate Hunting Companion
Coymesvale Knight Templar
Otto is a remarkable British Labrador stud with direct lineage from FT CH Beileys Aguzannis of Fendawood. Hailing from Ireland, he embodies drive, athleticism and cooperative spirit. His on/off switch is unparalleled, equally at home lounging in the house or springing into action as a bird dog.
Rock
Built to Work, Easy at Home
Willowmount Sky Defender
Rock carries a pedigree full of high performing gundogs, including his sire FTCH Kelmarsky Arkle of Astraglen and his grandfather GB FTCH Gosberry Governor. He picked up for two seasons on an estate, which shows in his drive, cooperation and bird finding ability. His off switch flips just as quick as his time to work switch.
Duck Hunting Dogs:
The Berry Creek Labs Difference
Our British Labrador stud services at Berry Creek Labs combine a devotion to the breed’s rich lineage with a focus on the dog’s ability to perform and maintain good health. Otto is the epitome of quality when it comes to British Labradors, and his offspring will provide great genetics for hunting as well as family companionship. Whether you’re seeking a trained duck hunting partner or a well-rounded addition to your family, our stud dogs are poised to make a lasting impact in your life.
British Labradors are bred for a calmer, more biddable temperament than the American line, and that carries through in our studs. Ours are dual purpose dogs: settled in the house, switched on in the field. The off switch is as strong as the drive, which is what lets the same dog hunt hard on Saturday and lie under the table on Sunday.
Every stud standing at Berry Creek Labs is tested for hips, elbows, eyes (BVA), EIC, CNM and PRA. The results for each dog are printed on his pedigree chart, which you can view on his own page.
Call us at 309-627-9875 or use the contact form on this page. Tell us what you hunt, what you want out of a pup, and which of our dogs you are interested in. We produce a limited number of litters each year, so it is worth reaching out early.
British Labradors trace back to the breed’s origins in the United Kingdom in the 1880s, where they were bred to work quietly alongside a handler. They tend to carry a stockier build, a calmer demeanor and stronger natural focus, which means less noise in the blind and less correcting in the field.
Our sires run back through field trial champion lines, with FT CH and GB FT CH dogs on both sides. Each stud’s four generation pedigree is published on his page, so you can trace the lineage yourself before committing to a breeding.
